Influencing the influencers

The project
To mark pancake day, we developed #lylesfirsttaste on TikTok. Tate & Lyle created a series of influencer videos to showcase their Lyle's Golden Syrup as the pancake topping of choice in the run up to Pancake Day (21st February 2023) and highlight the distinct and unique taste.
Influencers were challenged to a game of 'taboo' where they taste the syrup and have to describe it without using certain forbidden words. We then edited ten influencer videos into four compilations, which encompassed wonderful and wacky words they use to describe the product. The videos generated a reach of over 5+ million.
Inspring the wider organisation
Created internal videos to educate the wider organisation on the Lyle's Golden Syrup 2023 strategic road map. The company is heavily investing in attracting new consumers, through a series of new TV ads, aggressive social media campaigns, new coronation tin, a brand refresh across their bottle range and new opportunities in maple syrup.
