RALPH LAUREN

Strengthening retail skills through global learning platform

The project
Ralph Lauren is deeply invested in its employees’ professional development and they encourage a culture of constant learning and skills building. As part of their ongoing organisational transformation, they want to ensure that all retail teams have instant access to sales and customer service tools and best practice resources. They want to embolden employees to take ownership of their careers, develop actionable plans for success and continually build on their retail skills and experience.
The Ralph Lauren app contains all the resources retail teams (Sales Associates and Managers) need to progress – from onboarding through to understanding the unique selling culture at Ralph Lauren. The app enables employees to track the completion of their learning objectives, as well as build their knowledge of the Ralph Lauren Sales and Service Modes through interactive learning.
Covering everything from first impressions to outfit building and cross-selling, from overcoming objections to winning loyalty – the elearning platform features animations, activities, certification quizzes, with all content designed to be as engaging and as varied as possible.
A management dashboard built into the app also enables those in management roles to track, manage and report on the completion of learning content, giving them performance data at a glance. The app is translated into eight languages.
Large format posters in staff rooms are used to encourage a culture of learning and skills building and create a physical connection to the career journey on the learning platform.
